GARMENT OF FAITH
May faith peak through my garments
And my reflection be lined in your words!
I dress myself in a smock of light.
Hosanna, your name is heard.
Set apart. You’ve made me.
Yet, sometimes I forget this charge.
I fall into the broken cracks
Of potted plants lofty, large.
Like soil seeping from the clay,
I scatter. My thoughts spread thin.
But, you hold my focus Savior True.
You complete my priorities again.
I don’t want to forget your love
Or lose the thirst for your divine interceding.
Contemplative state, forsaking all sin—
This is where your spirits leading.
Basted in a glaze, invisible to the outside,
I secure my feet and buckle my belt.
Your fragrance I cannot hide.
It smells of precious metals refined in heat.
An ore tumbled, battered made complete.
We’re all diamonds in your eyes.
Polished to sheer perfection.
Dusted and buffed to show your true reflection.
I desire to mirror you in beauty and in grace.
I want to lap up wisdom and truly seek your face.
Faithful Jeweler, cut me into a flawless piece.
Wear me around your neck. To you, I release.
Standing tall, all worries gone,
Goodness I gain and discernment latches on.

Lamentations 3:24-26
I say to myself, the Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Haggai 2:23
On that day, declares the Lord Almighty, I will take you my servant…and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you declares the Lord Almighty.
