  •  Crowned You as My Own

    My heart cries…I surrender.

    You gently touch my back.

You push me forward softly, saying,

    Child, breathe in. Relax.

    Your mercies new surround me.

I tense up at the thought.

You stroke my hair and say to me,

This dire anxiety, my death bought.

No need to fear, my little one.

    Jesus paid it all.

Just trust me and my faithful voice,

I will make you a warrior strong and tall.

Take me at my word, sweet flower,

Bloom in grace and spread your petals.

For my iron strength will always be your strong tower.

Run into me, your hiding place.

You will always find shelter in my being.

Dash after me like butterflies, pursue me in this chase.

For I will not abandon you or fly away remote,

My wings are open for your protection,

They are not paper thin, but posses a glaze—a solid coat.

Drink in my light, precious jewel unique.

Find me when your strength is weak.

My love, I’ve lavished on you. You smell sweet, like my cologne.

Rest easy, knowing that I love you and have crowned you as my own.

    Zechariah 9:16:

          And the LORD their God

will save them in that day
             As the flock of His people;
For they are as the stones of a crown,
             Sparkling in His land.
