    HOSANNA, HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST

    By Kimberly Willingham

Palm branches draped on solid ground,

A donkey's hooves make clacking sounds.

Dividing the crowd, He silences the pack.

A doe faced King rides tall barebacked.

He brings hope to the world on a carpet of green.

Faces, once drenched in sadness, shout, New life He will bring!

Such celebration for a man and deity in one.

Jubilant dancing before God's powerful son.

Sacred sacrifice, unknown at the time,

Security I have gained; for, Jesus in mine!

    John 12:13

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
"Hosanna!"   "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"[b]
"Blessed is the King of Israel!"
