    My God,

You are earnest. You are faithful.

    You are priceless.

    I am a treasure seeker.

I race toward the light that shines.

No longer bound by sin and shame,

This new life gives me wings.

Soaring. Lord, I want to fly.

    Away into the sunlight,

    Glimmers on my feathers;

    Touched by the warm rays,

I am protected in your grasp.

Set fire to my heart once more.

    Give me eyes to see.

I want to see through hearts, souls, and minds.

To bring compassion to the aching,

    Your plan for me—unsurpassed.

Hurting. I come to the throne room alone.

    Bridegroom, kiss my face.

Can I crawl into your lap and have you sing me to sleep?

Your voice it calms the storms.

    Your passion parts the seas.

Though I don’t see it, the plan up ahead,

Blessings and utmost honor I thrust upon your head.

You crown me with beauty and say,

    Daughter, crawl into my wounds.

I have saved you from the beast that steals.

I will build up your temple and restore.

    Trusting. It’s frightful.

But, I have to trust your matchless grace.

Living in the flesh is painful,

    I hang onto your words.

I’m in love with a miracle man, A man that wipes my feet!

    Speechless, at this ongoing love,

Gazing into his face makes my life complete.

So, I will wonder. I will fall before the Warrior King.

Heal my heart O’ Maker of all.

Set a blaze to my aching feet.

Sword in hand, I take up your call.

Like Deborah, you’ve spoken to me.

I will fasten my armor to the tightest notch.

Speak to me my God Supreme.
