  • SOIL ROOTED

I am planted-a seed in the ground.
Waiting for the WATER, the surface makes a sound.
Echoed by the breeze, the surface invites me,
To drink of the wind and forget the raging SEA.
I am waiting for the WATER to pour into my shell.
And RUSH through my fibers, so, my being starts to SWELL.
You see, I want to FLOURISH, to BLOOM in the SUN.
To AWAKEN and feel my petals-SAVOR life UNDONE.
Though swaying in the wind, offers excitement and a thrill.
I will stay SOIL ROOTED, WATER waiting still...

    Luke 8: 14, 15
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
