    Affectionate Countess

Embraced. I am held in hands wide and strong.

Kissed. He’s touched my forehead with his lips.

I feel impassioned by the King of Kings.

My life, enraptured with his song.

Wings, like an angel, but lit with fire,

Face toward the sky. It’s you I admire.

Your face, so sweet, my protector,

I feel safe in your comforting presence.

You whisper promises and power so tender.

Filled, with awe, at my sorrow collector.

No fear ripples down my swerving spine.

You are bliss. My God, you’re divine.

Fret, I feel in times of indecision.

Yet, unsurpassed greatness for me, you envision.

Your eyes give counsel. They epitomize peace.

Like a tranquil river, my worries are released.

The world marks me a number. You call me adored.

Effervescent life inside me you’ve restored.

A sheer countess in waiting—a shining reflection,

I’m wrapped in mercy. I’m draped in affection.

    Psalm 45:13

    All glorious is the princess within her chamber ;

her gown is interwoven with gold.
