    Falling in Love with Purpose

    falling in love with purpose

I fell in love. My heart’s purloined.

My beating organ has been joined.

    It palpitates. It thumps precision.

Strapped in place by celestial vision.

A wind has blown. It’s covered my form.

I’m avalanched in the midst of the storm.

Like snowflakes touched by feral flames,

This heart thaws at the utterance of love’s name.

Enraptured not by the tangible surface,

I’ve fallen in love with deep, true purpose.

    Kimi Willingham

    Proverbs 19:21

Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
