Words of my Master
Lasting. Strong and everlasting flow.
My thoughts and emotions tend to go.
They stream like water through my mind.
Senses to the world now blind.
Encased in rock. Stabilized and steadfast.
My true character and goals are now unmasked.
I pray I am seen as true, noble and bold.
Waving a flag stained in God’s gold.
He is my victor. I march on in him.
Dressed in armor—no longer dim.
For he is an eternal light.
In radiance he dismisses night.
New birth he has given—a fresh beginning today.
Drinking water from my hands, I absorb his rays.
I bow to the sun and dance to the moon.
I rejoice at the butterfly created from cocoon
Freedom has given me wings of bright hues.
I have sprouted a passion. His love I pursue.
Stretching up, I touch the sky.
Elevated. I have feathers to fly.
Like the butterfly, I’ve been transformed.
By the Words of my Master in the midst of the storm.

Psalm 119:129-131
Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them. The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.
